W761 DWX

This Volvo B7TL Alexander ALX400 was new in July 2000 to Yorkshire Rider (Bradford) as their 5761 in First Barbie livery. It was a regular on the fast X6 “Gold Line” service between Bradford and Leeds. The individual trading companies that were trading as FirstBus were part of the Badgerline group, it all then became absorbed into FirstGroup and the introduction of a national fleet numbering scheme began in 2003, this one becoming 30906. It stayed at Bradford for most of it’s life until around 2009 when it was sent to Doncaster to replace some of their aging Olympians. In 2015 it was sent to Halifax to replace the final Olympians, It was one of the best in the fleet at Halifax and it’s regular driver Danny had it daily & fell in love with it, so much he bought it for preservation upon leaving service in 2018.
